April 20.2006:

Official statement from Baby Lemonade:
"We would like to clarify the widely forwarded Arthur Lee tribute email regarding Baby Lemonade; Baby Lemonade were never fully confirmed for this, either as a Band or as backing musicians and presently are not committed to this or any organized benefit for Arthur. They have made it known that they would like to play some gigs this summer with the intention of playing Love songs mixed with Baby Lemonade songs and donating the proceeds to Arthur's cause.

It is our understanding that Baby Lemonade extends it's concern and heartfelt prayers to Arthur and his family, in hopes that he has a safe and speedy recovery.

Baby Lemonade recorded and toured as LOVE from '92-'96 and '02-'05 with Arthur Lee, garnering worldwide success and a renewed interest in the 60's Phychedelic/ Pop Band, before deciding to disband the group after Lee refused at the last minute to get on an airplane last July to tour europe."

April 18. 2006:

Billboard & NME articles about Arthur's illness.
Though it says so, Baby Lemonade will not play at any of the tribute shows.

March 31. 2006:

Check out the Love page at myspace.com

March 30. 2006:

Summed up the informations about the Vincent Flaherty recordings.

Check out the new Mojo Magazin (may), there's a 2 page feature about the new line-up of Love.
The story is complete with a great picture of this 7 piece outfit, featuring a cool, yet stern and skinny looking Arthur sat behind what looks like a large court-room desk.
The band features: Greg Roberson, Jack Yarber, Alicja Trout, Ron Franklin, Alex Greene and Adam Woodard....there is also mention of Johnny Echols being involved and Arthur suggests that this line-up may not be final, saying " until i know who's in the band for sure... i'm not gonna bother learning any names"
All are memphis based musicians, with Yarber from 'The Compulsive Gamblers' and 'The Oblivians' and is a friend of 'The White Stripes'. Roberson and Green were both in 'The Reigning Sound'.
There is a little info mentioned that we're all familiar with...last years tour etc and also, unsurprisingly, mention of new songs and shopping for a record deal.
Apparently, Arthur is now living in a Memphis house which belonged to his mother and his aunt and was left to him in a will....
Thanks to Dave Pearce

January 23. 2006:

Just received the two new Bryan MacLean cd's: No One Was Kinder and Praise & Worship.
The first one is together with sister Maria McKee and made up a recording from Beverly Hills 1981.
The recording was made on a cassette recorder, so the quality is for obvious reasons not studio quality.
This is a fantastic cd with a fantasic atmosphere and some outstanding harmonies from Maria.
Wouldn't it have been amazing if they have made a studio album together.

Praise & Worship is a double cd with 32 religious songs, all written by Bryan.
There's not much informations on the cd, but I think this is made up of recordings done over a longer period.
The songs are all very personal songs with a spiritual feeling.

These cd's is a welcome look into Bryan's world of music and no collector of his music should be without them.

This is a strictly limited release of 100 copies each and can be ordered from:
Elizabeth McKee
PO box 27385
Los Angeles
California 90027-0385
USA

Prices:
Praise & Worship double cd $15
No One Was Kinder $10
Add $2 postage for USA
