Wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm a new member and love Love! My uncle grew up in the 60's on the Sunset Strip and was lucky enough to see the original lineup perform on several occasions. He has told me about them but confesses he does not remember much! When I was 16 he gave me his FC album and told me to listen to it from start to finish. He instructed me to not skip anything and I soon learned why. Love introduced me to the great music from the era and my favotites are Love (Bryan Maclean solo stuff especially)& Nick Drake (JoeChrisMorris I'm sure understands as I have seen him on the ND forums). Reading the new book now and love it so far.

I look forward to chatting with all of you. I'm curoius if anyone knows where I can obtain information about playing Bryan Maclean solo stuff (tabs/chords). I have looked online and searched for tab books but can't find anything. Any info would be appreciated.

Nice one Joe, a great song! I have seen some of your reviews online for books and cd's and you are spot on with your reviews. Like your youtube videos as well.

While Arthur was a genius in his own right I can't help but think Bryan was onto something as well. His solo stuff is superb and I like how he explains certain songs on Candy's Waltz. I did not realize the friction between the 2 but I'm sure the competition fueled both of them. Certainly seems that way based on the new book.

Welcome Gretsch. BTW, I had a red sparkle Gretch trap kit (drums) in the 60's in my garage band. Nice. So, good moniker, Gretsch.

Sounds like you haven't seen the Love documentary, Love Story. If not, it is a must see, and the 2001 DVD Arthur Lee and Love, Forever Changes concert. Perfect companion pieces along with John's new book you are currently reading. Our Love holy trinity!! With the Forever changes album the holy grail.

Arthur's song titles always said more than it seems and this one from Out Here says it all....for LoVE fans everywhere.

"LOVE is more than words or better late than never."

absolute tragedy that Bryan passed so prematurely as he was just starting to do something with his music again.

if you believe in, a lot of that is 60s demos isn't it? I was REALLY impressed by that collection, less so with Candy's Waltz

No one was kinder &
Praise and Worship
I've not listened to very much, so haven't really formed an opinion on those so much

Wasn't Bryan recording a Spanish version of "Alone again or" when he passed? Of course Arthur was still in jail at that time, and there was a distinct lack of LoVE!
