Hopefully a little more "back to basics" rock 'n roll. Less slick-dick Idol crapola. There's a new book out called "I Hate New Music" by Dave Thompson with an intro by Rockcrit god Richard Meltzer.....lots of good humor & wit about sacred cows such as U2, REM, Radiohead and "perhaps best of all, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame".......anything that doesn't recognize LoVE deserves a little bashing.

| very good..I'll be listening and reading ...and......."working"..around here..and here's hoping Love and the band members get some mentions in the music crit areas and that, in turn, gets others to go and hear their music and make their own judgments...... |

yeay. that James Gang cut is played on the technicolor web of sound internet-radio show. i used to hear Walsh co-host a radio talk show, and he'd have this thick Brooklyn/doper accent, "howya DOOOOIN!".

A superb achievement - and the last of the four absolutely essential Fairport studio albums. Of course Denny did return to the band in 1974-75 for the Rising For The Moon recording - it was a reunion of sorts although there had been major personnel changes and the lineup was as much Fotheringay as Fairport Convention. That one too is definitely one of my favourites. |

playing "Walls and Bridges" cd. "#9 dream " is still my favorite from this album. 1974. "#9 Dream" is so beautiful, it seems distant from the rest of the album.
