Sunshine Superman - Donovan

I'd forgotten how good this album was! Haven't listened to it for about a year.

This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

Yeh, great song. I think my favourite off the album though is 'Guinevere'......it's stunning.

on second thought, that Danny O'Keef album is painfully mediocre and corny! i'm playing his 1st good album now. wont get fooled again.
remember that Twilight Zone episode, " where is everybody?"
chirp....chirp....chirp....
hello...(tap tap)...is this mike on?....
so, this blind man walks into a bar with his seeing-eye dog.
he starts swinging the dog on the leash around and around his head.
Bartender: HEY, what are you DOING!?
Blind man: 'just lookin' around!

I saw Danny O'Keef back about the time of his first LP. Solo on acoustic guitar. Quite enjoyable...I guess he wasn't at the corny stage, bob.

I don't remember the old episode you spoke of, but I love that show & saw them all over and over!

I've been playing Vince Guaraldi over and over again too, bob. Linus' Theme has blown me---always, ever since that first TV special aired way back when. My first love of jazz started with that little gem of a show.

I've never heard the newest stereo remastering of Pet Sounds. I have the limited edition mono which blows me away. I literally threw a way the awful fake stereo LP that was originally issued by Capitol. But I've read that the newest stereo is excellent! The mono vinyl blows me away!!!

Great stuff Old Man........'Girl on a Swing', what a wierd and wonderful song

I'm just listening to the House of Blues concert and 'You Set The Scene' just made the hairs on the back of my neck tingle. I haven't heard it for a while but it never fails to have the same effect.

yeah, Kula, i have that concert cd, and agree! it gives me chills.
the tension/release in "Old Man" is another highlight.magic!
'listning to The Shirelles now. they just don't know how to sing these days. it's all style/vocal-gymnastics, and no substance.
just sing the damn song and respect the melody!
