Joni Mitchell - 'Shadows and Light' . The definitive live Joni.. w. Pastorius, Metheny. 'Amelia'.. enough to make a regular kind of guy swoon. This music is now 29 years old, but sounds timeless.

Not at the moment as I'm in work, but in the car the last few days, been listening to a live recording of Yes at the Estival Jazz festival in 2004. I know there are some here for whom Yes does not exactly push the right buttons, but the guitar-keyboard duels between Howe and Wakeman are some of the best I've ever heard. 'South Side of the Sky' is just insane!!

As for that Jimi/Eric Burdon show, I've had that for a few years. It's a pity the recording quality is so poor, though as an historic document it's wonderful.

boom..I think Yes is touring now and having a new singer, yes?

Trying to get into a little jazz..Kind of Blue...and the Koln Concert..didn't know Jarrett technically didn't want to play on that particular piano..but he did some pretty creative stuff on the fly like all great musicians can....

Current Yes line-up is without Rick Wakeman, who had already declined before Jon Anderson pulled out due to asthma. Oliver Wakeman is on keys (and is actually pretty good from the recordings of the tour I've heard). Vocals are being handled by the singer from one of the big Yes tribute bands. Not bad, actually, but what is more interesting is the song selection this tour - Drama songs are getting an airing.

Not listened to Kind of Blue in over a year - sadly overdue, I feel.

Whilst posting this evening, I have been listening to the first Pentangle album - and for the first time, I managed to make it through all seven of the bonus tracks.
