John Martyn, Danny Thompson, Paul Kossoff - 'So Much In Love With You' from the third (live) CD of JM'S 'Ain't No Saint' boxed set, which if its other three CD's were appalling, which they most certainly are not, would still be worth buying just for this one - 68 mins of sonic perfection. Koss's sparse, heartfelt Les Paul playing on this track is easily as good as vintage Greenie. RIP

A little "mixed up confusion" here regarding the late S. David Cohen, aka David Blue. Not the same guy who played guitar and keyboards in Country Joe & the Fish; this is a different David Cohen altogether, this one still among the living, I'm sure he'll be happy to hear. As for S. David Cohen (David Blue), not quite as fortunate, nor still around.

Ya, David Blue (Cohen) was a great folk singer/song writer of the Dylan/Greenwich era & onward until he died of a heart attack while jogging in Washington Square park in NYC........at the tender age of 41. RIP. I love David Cohen of The Fish on that reedy organ.
Too many Cohens here to keep straight without using their first names or stage names.....I naturally go right to Leonard with any mention of "Cohen"....so I likely have jumped to the wrong artist with the mention of Cohen, at sometime, at some post, too.

i'm glad for the correction! i forgot ! ooops!
i love David Blue's first album, which i have on cd.
i bought the lp when first released, and always thought it was my special secret, unappreciated or unknown by most people. he did later change his name to Cohen.

A very good LP indeed, as is the Singer-Songwriter Project you can get with it on one of those Elektra Twofers.

And as for David Bennet Cohen, he plays a nice bluesy Telecaster too.

Big Pink is near the top of my all time favorites. It really brings back memories of college days & long haired freaks....let your freak flag fly.
