The Monkees - Headquarters (and) 'More of The Monkees'... i kid you not! haha--where it all started for me. (...at age 3 that is, perhaps I ought to qualify that.)

listening to the very best of the smiths again and wondering why I was always listening so carefully to the lilting lyrics that I missed the brilliance of the music complementing the vocals. There are clear references to almost all the music I've ever loved, and more - byrds, through airplane, even an adam anty one.
must get a karaoke version...
Keep on shining |

My grandson turned me on to slacker.com internet radio. It's much better than Pandora in that you choose all your bands. Unfortunately, it's only available now in the US. |

I've been listening to samples of Eric Burton's Soul of a Man. It sounds good. I haven't yet got the album. Waiting to find a lower price. |

Kevin Ayers' new album, The Unfairground. Only listened once so far, I liked it. Mellow, with strings and horns, but very short, only 35 minutes long. |
