Huge Cohen Fan here! Someone here mentioned that Shuggie Otis and Al Kooper did a record, super session is one of my favs so I thought I'd check out Shuggie Otis couldn't get the Kooper session so Ive been listenin to Shuggie Otis "Freedom flight" which really is fantastic.
I don't recognize a lot of the artists I'm listening to, but it is a great two-hour music show on BBC Radio on the internet, no commercials. The D.J is Sean Rowley. His show is described as "new releases and re-issues from five decades with competitions and studio guests". They hold the archived shows for seven days. Type sean rowley in the search box. http://www.bbc.co.uk
Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock' from her 1980 live album 'Shadows and Light'- just her beautiful voice, a simple but poignant guitar rift.....and a dream of what might have been.
well I went to that sean rowley site and I don't feel so bad now! ..on a list of those "uncool records" that people find ok to love I found one of mine for all time.."Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty...
ed..glad you like it...Rafferty is one of those guys who writes interesting songs..another one is 'Right Down the Line'....for me it's a gem...you probably know it too...
