I'm listening to the new Pretty Things album - Balboa Island.

After more than 40 years in existance they are still writing new material, and good it is too. Listening to it for the third time (just arrived in the post this morning) and I like it more and more. More bluesey than previous albums, and Phil Mays voice sounds better than ever.

'Meddle' by Pink Floyd - hadn't listened to it for ages. Its highlights include 'Pillow of Winds', 'Fearless' and the highly evocative 'Echoes'. A great CD to play in the car - especially when you don't have to go to work and are not heading for anywhere in particular.

That album, Blue, by Joni Mitchell, just captivated my heart. http://jonimitchell.com/ this is her website. I didn't know she was a painter. She is releasing a new album on September 25 called Shine.

I Want You Around by the Ramones. Somebody here recommended the Pandora.com radio site where you can choose what type of music you want to listen to. That's where I'm hearing it.
