What's noteable about this flag song is the main beat is just sticks beating on sticks. Works for me.

I was watching that series Mad Men (it's another look/see at the 60's) last night and at times they bring up some music which just kind of snaps you back out of this time to another one that we've inhabited..this grabbed me when it came fairly quickly at the end of the episode...I like it very much...S&G's song gives a great sense of place..

The Essex Green - Cannibal Sea. 21st century indie rock band with a definite 60s feel.

"The Essex Green are an indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY. The band is primarily composed of songwriters Jeff Baron, Sasha Bell and Chris Ziter, and specialize in a classic sound inspired by 1960s–1970s pop and folk in the tradition of bands like The Left Banke and Fairport Convention".

That would be a great show to see...two of my faves from the 60's. BeeGees had a good band then. Vanilla Fudge were crazy onstage form the vids I've seen...especially the bass player!
