Revenge of the King EP - Kula Shaker's first release since 1999 (apart from Kollected - their best of)...its ok but not back to the standards they produced on K and PPA. Its also only available on itunes which is a bit rubbish, but oh well.

This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

Bad news the KS isn't up to par - will still try to see them again if they play near me. Both K and PPA are still albums I return to on a fairly regular basis.

And Steve, strangely ebough, I was listening to Parachute earlier this week!

Phil Ochs's, " Greatest Hits". actually, right now. really. his life is book and movie worthy, hope someday we see some light on this special artist and socio-pollitical commentator soon. love the tragic humor , " 50 Phil Ochs fans can't be wrong". his day will come , to be re- discovered.

Bob F, have you heard Ochs' stuff after he changed his name to John Train? I've not really heard any of "either," but I've been a little curious about that weird turn they say he took.

bob f. and astrolobe33...

A bit of a story...Some friends moved out West to CA right after I graduated High School in '66. One guy named Lumpy came back East in the summer of '67 and turned me on to 'Tapes from California'. He was living near Haight-Ashbury, and he looked like a San Franciscan for the times It is an awesome LP.

Last night was Black Beauty by Arthur Lee and David Bowie's Aladdin Sane.

Today it is Bowie's Hunky Dory from 1971.
