My favorite by NEIL, if there can be a favorite!....maybe because it is a part of the times...i bought it the day it came out in a little upstairs underground record shop... with records displayed on the wall in a kind of frame rack running the length of the wall-four rows high, and the vinyl behind the counter...not enough room to have em out on the floor.
The vinyl is also the first pressing...no "Neil Young" on the cover and mixes that were forever changed in a few months of this release. That first mix is the best but you will never hear it if you can't find the vinyl!!
Judge for yourself if you haven't heard this fine album...unjustly panned by some reviewers!!
Recently rediscovered "Harvest".Young has a storytelling knack unparallaled by EXTREMELY few others of similar size catalogs.Bob Dylan is,of course, the dean of the articulation and Harry Chapin delivered a marvelously rich and mellifluos tale with 1972's "Taxi".Or was that '73?
COMING OUT IN jUNE....."A tresaure"....a live 12 track album. Recorded with the International Hrvesters..on tour in 1984..... includes 6 unreleased tracks. Something to be happy about!
