Whoa! It's obvious we are not at a DOORS forum!!
Ray was the master and inspired many with his dual keyboard playing...organ/bass.
Hollywood Bowl is a fantastic live (on DVD, check it out!!) show
...where one can see and hear the magic of Morrison (the shaman)
and Company create a mystical rock theatre far above your
average straight-on rock concert!

Don't get me OR FREED started by saying such things,kd!!

KD: Don't get me wrong here LK - I do love the Doors, one of the
best groups ever - just don't find the multitude of live tapes out there to be that much of an improvment on or as interesting as their studio recordings.

Free the Doors !

Always wondered what the hostility against Bruce Botnick was all about.Botnick has always praised Arthurs brilliancy on that record but I remember reading in The castle an interview with Botnick where he recalls meeting this bum outside whiskey agogo in the 80s and it turned out to Botniks big surprise it was Arthur.Did he read this and got pissed or was Arthur just not happy with the production in the first place?

I think Arthur was upset with Bruce getting a credit

great great story - Botnick sees a bum begging for change and it turns out to be Arthur. I remember reading that story in some west coast newspaper in the late 90s when Arthur was "inside"

And getting Jac Holzman to send him stuff inside LOL

I think Arthur had trouble just trusting...people! Even those with good intentions....

I feel like Arthur had more than just a hand in the production of FC. I would not be surprised if he did produce it and maybe took the reins from Botnick at some point.

true Thomas but he also sure have some NEGATIVE statements about the production of FC. forinstance complaining about the mix of alone again or,goes something like this" "it should have started out the way the Damned did it just bang right on!"

I think BRYAN was upset about the quiet of the beginning of "Alone again or"

certainly Jac Holzman held the track in enough esteem to start the album with it tho..

True Joe,think i mixed his statement with Bryans about the mix of alone again or ,sorry .Still recall Arthur from old Castle magazines not being happy with the production and in others taking credit for thr production.. Funny thing with Bryan,he was so angry with David Angels strings when first hearing Old man thinking he made it "to busy" but then he heard the arrangement of alone again or and all was forgiven :-)

I find that hard to belive actually,he is pretty concious about the arangment of old man and alone again or,never liked old man being "to busy" loved the arangement of alone again or but not happy at all with the fact they used Arthurs voice as lead.
