a late 90s Mojo (Barney Hoskins author) interviewed Bryan and he said something along the lines that he listened to the album once, didn't like the mix, never listened to it again. In particular the song "Old man" made him want to hide behind the couch!
I remember reading the story of Arthur as a bum in a LA paper (Love cover as I recall) in the late 90s - it was while Arthur was inside, but he was interviewed while inside as I recall by phone!
I gotta listen to ifyoubelievein. You gotta wonder how songs like "People" were received when played at live gigs - its a shame no live tapes of the Bryan Maclean Band have ever surfaced.. |
