J.K.&Co. "Suddenly One Summer" ......on Sundazed (originally issued on White Whale).

A 15 year-old guitarist/singer-songwriter from LA goes to Vancouver in 1968 and records this "dark masterpiece of orchestral psychedelia".......

Amazingly mature music. Wicked good stuff!

go to Redtelephone66 for a nice review:

3 Daft Monkeys - Social Vertigo

This is a great album, 3 Daft Monkeys sound like the Levellers but with a spanish/gypsy/balkan sound. And, they're Westcountry folk which is even better!

This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

lemonade....i've posted about the J.K.& CO. "Suddenly One Summer" masterpiece. it is on my favorites list. "Nobody", is chilling, and a counterpiece to "Signed, D.C." i'm glad i'm not the only one who has diascovered this 1968 jem. it's right up there with another obscure
jem, : The Fallen Angels , (the roulette masters, part 2 of 2),1968, on Collectables label. GOD, it's good!

...what the world needs now...

Love that movie, rocker! There is a Goth shop in Prescott, Arizona that is
almost exclusively dedicated to Nightmare (DVDs, collectibles, clothing), but also to
Edward Scissorhands & Corpse Bride. Some great movies there.....& great music, though Nightmare is my favorite.

Good record, I would guess but I always find eil to be very expensive, that's one of their cheaper prices but you can get it here (with free postage) for less

I have their first LP on Atco (the "magic"forest cover). It's fantastic psych. Were they more of a hit in the UK?
What LP is "Naturally" from....II ? I know it was released as a single. It's on youtube....I'll give it a listen.
"Mr Moonshine" & "Magic Forest" are favorites of mine.

The Clash - Live at Shea Stadium (or whatever it's called, it's in the car at the moment)

I love The Clash, but they aren't at their best here, by the time they got to the USA they were on the way out, imo, sadly.

I love Francoise Hardy's stuff form the 60s and early 70s, though not so sure about the more recent stuff. There's a nice Vogue double CD around which has most of the best stuff on as well as an intersting best of shared with Jacques Dutronc, with lost of his yeh yeh material on too.
