I'm stunned....Arthur,Bryan,& Love have been part of the soundtrack to my life since I first had my head turned by 'Softly to Me' from the debut album. Then came the first side of 'Da Capo' which is still, surely, one of the greatest sequences of songs on ANY album.By the time 'Forever Changes' was due,Love were, for me,way ahead of the Beatles in the anticipation stakes, and on the day of it's release,I rushed home from Minns Music in Southampton to have my teenage world changed yet again. It remains my favourite album (even alongside the good Cap'n B),and will never be far from my record player.God knows how many times that I've heard FC,yet it still,to this day remains fresh for me.When I can find the time and space later on to-day,I will sit again and play it through (at full volume)....and raise a glass to Arthur ,& Bryan, and all the members of Love.Keep on Shining! |

I only came to him recently, after hearing Alone Again Or in the film Bottle Rocket, then going out and buying Everything Changes. TOP music, really really wonderful stuff.
Peace and Love, man. |

"For the time that I've been given's such a little while"
RIP Arthur. Thanks for your positive contribution to my life over the last 40 odd years. Forever Changes has been my constant companion through whatever life has thrown at me. After seeing Love so many times over the last few years, it is hard to accept that it will never happen again. Also, many thanks to Mike, Rusty, Dave and Daddyo for their immense contributions. |

Goodbye Arthur. Thank you so much for your music & words. Forever Changes came at a tough time in life, and helped get me through it.
"When I leave now don't you weep for me." Sorry Arthur, but I am weeping now.
"For the time that I've been given's such a little while."
A little while indeed!
Glad for these last couple of years. Good-bye old friend. |

RIP Arthur!
And thank you for the wonderful music that has filled my life for SO many years. How fortunate am I to have seen you perform twice, and chat with you a little. I'll cherish those moments forever.

Just so sorry to hear of Arthur's passing, Bummer!! The first album I ever bought was Forever Changes by Love, lost over many house moves, I bought a CD of it a couple of years ago, It sounds as fresh now as it did all those years ago, Thank you Arthur for your input into my life! Soon we will be left with little original music, just folks jumping on the bandwaggon with very little else to offer! To Arthur's family & friends go my thoughts & prayers God Bless.................... |

"This is the only thing that I am sure of And that's all that lives is gonna die"
He was a clever man, a cool man, a funny man, he was THE man. This was a real "bummer in the summer". Rest in peace Arthur. |

How ironic for Arthur to die in "August". |

I am saddened by the news of Arthur's passing and will always remember him. Thank you for the greatest piece of music ever designed by man and for the greatest show I have ever seen. Long live Arthur Lee.
