Man I am in shock but not suprised either.I'm grateful that I actually got a chance to shake his hand at those now-final Love with Arthur Lee shows at the cafe Du Nord in San Francisco late last June. These infamous shows sadly are his/thiers final moments on a stage. Its a strange feeling to me...Kind of desolate. When John Lennon died I coul not listen to his music for many years after. Same with all the great artists I loved who have left us. Cash, Harrison,Barret,Dennis and Carl Wilson. I'm going to try and conquer that particular hang up and proceed to play the music I Love so much. The music of Arthur Lee and Love. |

I've just heard the news (11 amm Friday) and I can't find words to express my feelings, at present... As it happens, I felt compelled to put my red Love T-Shirt on this morning...A funeral passes my window as I write. God bless you Arthur - you have been an integral part of my lfe since I was sixteen. Love, John E |

arthur's music has kept me good company for many years....we all bonded so strongly in this extraordinary and glorious re-awakening of forever changes; thanks mike, rusty, dave, daddyo and of course to the man himself; thank you all so much and may his soul be cherished. nothing has ever yet left this planet, guys, everything that was here on day one is still here in some form or another, and will be for ever. |

This is so sad, i just can't quite get my head around this at the moment. When i woke up this morning i had a wierd feeling that this was going to be a bad day for some reason, just little things seemed to be stressing me out........but then to turn on the internet and read about this news is just such a terrible feeling. I feel so lucky though that i did get to see Arthur perform last year. It is a moment that will be with me forever, seeing arthur stride onto the stage and deliver such an amazing performance is something i will treasure.
What a musician, what a man and what an inspiration
RIP Arthur Lee..............the biggest musical legend the world will ever see
This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....
