Yeah, I never listen to anything that way at home but it's handy being able to put music I own already on CD onto the ipod for the car stereo. |

Jah Wobble - 'Chinese Dub' Dub Colossus - 'In A Town Called Addis' Amalgams of musical styles from different parts of the world that on paper may make uneasy bedfellows. but aurally work brilliantly. Absorbing, fascinating, rewarding... a tonic for the ears. Check out the reviews and soundclips on Amazon Music etc. I've found a lot of recent music boring. These two: NO WAY. A much needed antidote. Try. |

Jah Wobble is one of my musical heroes. The guy is a genius. I love his album of William Blake (another hero) stuff.

Likewise, Caryne. Longtime fan since PIL, and the 'Snakecharmer'EP with Czukay (and The Edge, bless!) Also, Laswell, and his collaborations therewith. Y'can't beat the odd bit of serpentine rumbling.. |

'The Duckworth-Lewis Method' - Lovely, sweet, accomplished, intelligent music .. not a duff track on it, and a great accompaniment to (what was) the English indian summer. |

Yes, that's a great one, I mentioned it a few times on here a couple of months back when I was lucky enough to catch them live...at The Oval, of course |

Yes, all good songs in their way. Of course I remember Frank Ifield, he was quite a popular crooner at one time, very well known for his yodelling I think Donovan deserves lots more recognition too, my husband's band are having a go at covering 'Hey Gyp' at the moment, a great song. |

Currently listening to (as it's just come through the letterbox), 'Live in Stereo' by Vic Goddard and Subway Sect. I love Vic, one of the too often forgotten geniuses of the punk era and a great bloke. |
