I just recently picked up an Os Mutantes CD called Technicolor which is pretty interesting. It was released in 2000 and was originally supposed to come out in 1970. It was supposed to be their attempt to tap into the American market with all of their hits being recorded in English.

Hi Thomas,I have also been checkin out Os Mutantes lately.I hope someone will post that cd that they released in english.I have only heard them on these video's at http://www.youtube.com/results?search=os+mutantes&search_type=search_videos&search=Search If you hav'nt already seen them. I speak a little Italian and Spanish so I understand some similar words but for the most part dont know any Brazilian(Portugese)They have thier own language and it sure would be cool to hear the English translation if it truly is available. If you like that kinda quirky and a little off the wall like Os Mutantes. Also check out Los Mockers if you have not already. They copy and do covers in Spanish and English of early Stones and Stones like stuff. They are from Uruguay http://www.youtube.com/results?search=los+Mockers&search_type=search_videos&search=Search

I've been contemplating getting an Os Mutantes CD lately myself.
The same series that released the West African psych comp that I posted about earlier on this thread--"World Psychedelic Classics"--has a full CD of Os Mutantes as their volume I.
So they're pretty hot, eh?

As for listening:
The inimmitable and ineluctable Syd Barrett's
"Barrett"
featuring of course the namesake song of a certain band we all know,
track one, Baby Lemonade!

Yeah, I (~heart~) Syd.
Yes, and good Roger (as he prefers to be called these days) just had his 60th Birthday, two months ago himself, and is doing quite well I understand.
Jellybean should make a mini-Syd, like her mini-Arthur!!

That sure sounds like real a down-an-out piece of tune!
Never heard that one, but Blind Willie is one of my Main Mans.
