Am going to be listening to some Buffalo Springfield or Byrds tomorrow after earlier watching the BBC4 doc on LA - Hotel California:From The Byrds To The Eagles - you have to love what David Crosby says about the Eagles!!
He complained that all the Eagles did was reproduce the records note for note on stage - can't remembe the exact quote, but you can hear/see an 11 minute Crosby interview here:
I saw the Eagles live last year. They were magnificent. Vibrant and full of energy. Crosby is bitter about something. I wouldn't have said the money-making CSN were the height of excitement either, although the gig they showed last night with Nash and Crosby was fantastic. Harmonies to die for.
