Wouldn't bother with Arctic monkeys...well over rated in my view. Larrikin Love's album 'The Freedom Spark' is worth checking out though.
This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

"Roadmaster" cd by Gene Clark. it has the "Full Circle Song" and "Here Tonight" on it. beautiful! i also , being a huge pedal steel fan, love Chris Hillman's best cd ( in my opinion), " Bakersfield Bound", god bless Jay Dee Maness! pedal steel guitar heaven, and i play this great cd at least every week.it doesn't get much better than this for honkytonk/ Chris Hillman's voice, and big and bold pedal steel, and great songs that linger in your head forever! |

Great to see the appreciation of that music as I like it very much as well...Mr. Hillman has done well for all of us since his days from "The Hillmen"..his early bluegrass group and the "Scottsville Squirrel Barkers"..love how he's passed on the tradition of that California country sound with Herb Petersen...real fine musicians who complement each other...and JD has to be one of the greatest steel players, eh?..he gets such a sound out of that steel..... |
