Yeah, real nice. It is not often these days that us old hippies get to hear an authentic sound from days ago. Neil, in all his nakedness sticks to the song. It's a kick to hear him wander off to nowhere and find his way back.

It's all the same day.

Just love this "bunkering down at home" video with Blackmore and Candice that was live on facebook a few days ago. Not so much because the performance is great, must be a Blackmore Night fan to claim that, but just the cozy unusual setting, sitting home, playing covers suggested, Blackmore drinking from a large glass,he is even smiling and humming at times(!), Candice joking with Ritchie being an alcoholic last verse on greensleves, B playing lots of mistakes etc "I love mistakes". And great to hear Moonlight shadow, had almost forgotten that great 80s Mike Oldfield tune!

R.E.M. & Neil Young - Country Feedback https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4VfQBDoX6E&list=RDZ4VfQBDoX6E&start_radio=1

Neil Young is such a great gitarist! Unfortunally not mentioned often by critics because he is such a great songwriter and vocalist it seems to be forgotten. Same with Joni Mitchell by the way.

Im not a massive R.E.M fan but I really like this from 98. And the fact that they invite him on stage just to play guitar is a great tribute to the Guitarplayer Neil Young! Just look at Michael Stipe sitting on the edge of the scene at the end and just enjoying every guitarnote.

Hey, BF, you being from Noway brought this to mind. So grateful that NRK TV, Norway, saved this for us all. The only known live footage of a performance by the great David Ackles...1969.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g046LsXuAbI

And Elvis Costello and Sir Elton performing a song of one of their musical heroes--David Ackles.

Must admit I havent heard so much David Ackles, LK but very good live performance and also cover from Costello and Elton John! And Im willing to bet one million against 10 norwegian kroner which person brought David Ackles here in 1969 to do a live tv show! His name is Harald Are Lund, norways answer to John Peel. NRK was a very konservative state broadcast but he had free limits to look under the surface of the charts. For instance he played Love on nrk radio in 1968..

Here interviewed by John Peel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5isY2qgFVQE

Not really music related, well sort of so I post it anyways.. Patti Smith meets Bobby Fischer in Reykjavik where he was living his last years. Just love how she counters poor Bobbys rants and hostility when they meet, even if he initiated the meeting.. they end up singing Buddy Holly, Chuck berry, Four tops f.i untill dawn..

Long before Rock you like a Hurricane and Wind of cChange there was a band called Scorpions that made some great prog music! And they had a brilliant guitarist Uli Jon Roth.

From 1974 Scorpions Fly to the Rainbow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGDefpjTqFY
