I wish Arthur and the 'new' Love band all the best, simple as that.

Sadly, after the way Arthur has treated people I regarded as friends in recent times I must say I find it hard to be so generous on the man. I'm not saying I wish him ill, far from it, I hope he is, one day, able to perform again, but I can't say I would ever go and see him again...sorry, things have gone too far for any of that now.

It's very easy to wax judgment upon artists who we on one hand
encourage to live and exist as close to that creative edge as humanly possible
That magical place where creativity has no rules or boundaries
Strangely enough, our desire for more ear candy for the soul
can all of a sudden feel like a big fresh bowl of deception
a forever changing agreement of what is presented as the truth if u will @C@

Sometimes I Still Wonder about getting to know certain aspects of the artist
that could should would be best left to the appreciation of the art
the separation between the art and the artist sometimes seems essential
if one is to not let judgment cloud the enjoyment of the music

what were you doing and how did you feel the first time you heard Along Again Or?
those emotions and experiences are far more relative to me then anything anyone apparently did to someone else

I wish Arthur great Peace and endless appreciation.

I REALLY look 4ward to appreciating The Love Band
as they carry on this transcendent tradition
one I've watched them do for over a Decade now Brilliantly!

Why Don't we sing this song altogether?

I agree with you totally, many times it's better not to know and just appreciate their musical talents...however, when you do know it makes things very hard to ever see them in the same light again. They always say 'don't meet your heroes', it's certainly true from my experience with several.

I think it would be very hard to survive a stint in the California penal system and emerge as a normal person. Arthur clearly has mental health issues that existed before that happened, and I'm sure that exacerbated them. I just hope to God he doesn't do anything to run afoul of the law again, because California is a "three strikes" state. He could wind up in prison for years or even for life. That should be of foremost consideration to people, not how he supposedly "mistreated" people. They're all big boys and can take care of themselves. I'm just really glad I had a chance to see Arthur twice when he somehow managed to pull himself together. Best of luck to him and his former bandmates.

Yes, but Arthur is also a 'big boy' and, from all accounts has been treating people like 's*it' for years. If you want to support him fair enough, I'm sure he has his friends, but to belittle the way he has treated people doesn't help anyone. Let's be honest, he was treating people badly long before he went to prison, in fact he seemed to come out a better person and has now gone back, sadly, to his old ways.

Van Morrison used to fire his band onstage.
Bob Dylan, well, lets not talk about Bob.

Maria, the CA prison system is not unlike the Music Business.

Jazzman: Is this club at 5257 W. Adams Blvd. between La Brea and Fairfax?
