Me neither. Now I admit I am a blonde dyed red so maybe I need to sign up somewhere? Please let me know if I need to do this. As I am going to support the new Love Band, all the way.
Hope they give it a test run here in California.

I haven't received one either. But I was sure happy reading the link. When all the dust settles, it looks like The Love Band will start touring again.

I'm ready...

I thought the newsletter was sent out, but it never was.
My mistake - sorry.
For the moment it's not possible to sign up for forthcoming news.

Well said Allan. Sad about AL and hope he gets well quickly. But good to know that we'll see the Love Band again-the sooner the better.
Life just wouldn't be the same without them!

I feel for Arthur here and he's a dangerous man to upset.

Why do you say that, is he really 'dangerous' or does he just want people to think he is?

Can't believe that nobody's commented on the actual content of the newsletter, though the news is hardly surprising.

To quote from it:

"To think of Johnny Echols and Baby Lemonade performing without Arthur Lee may not seem as strange as it sounds. Many fans have already welcomed the new line-up with open arms as it has allowed the band to perform, with unbridled pride, tracks from the Echols-era catalogue including many that have never been heard before."

For me, the highlights of Oxford and Frome were these seldom performed songs (any chance of The Castle, next tour??)and also the obvious fact that it is now a real band on stage, not a singer who thinks he's way better than the others on the stage, but who has to rely on them to get him through the gig.

Expect lots of support for the band from these quarters in this new sub-forum.

Anyone know whether the "one-off" show in October (?) is still a possibility, and if so, who do I have to beat over the head with a kipper to get a ticket?

Well he definitely has previous and I don't think he'll be at all chuffed with this development. I'm not taking sides here just trying to restore some balance.

Johnbhoy, Arthur seems to be keeping an ominous silence.

I think he probably is working on his book , and maybe getting a new thing together.

Based on his past, I think he could be very dangerous. Let's just hope he has the sense to go on with his career in his own way and let things lie. Anyone that has seen him knows he volatile (did I spell that right) and he didn't go to prison on a 2nd or was it 3rd strike unless some violence was in there somewhere.
Hopefully he's in a rehab somewhere getting well. That's my wish for Arthur.
