Is this normal for grass play at Wimbledon? It makes for great newsworthy puns as the tennis stars slip out of contention, but is this unusual? So Many!

Lawn tennis is always pleasing to look at, and watch. Yes, the grass is fun in that you can dive, slide, trip and you won't get hurt (except possibly one's ego). Early on in the tournament before the grass gets worn down it is especially slick. Miss the glory days of tennis from the 70's to the mid 80's when the personalities were larger than life.
