hmm..I see the dirty laundry is being aired out in the open now...players vs mgr...hey ...I can see scrambling eggs to make a good souffle but man keep it in the kitchen.. ....so who's heart will maybe be broken now????...check: fans dealing with the bustout... |

| Sox have done what they had to do, clearing it all out player and salary wise. Now, put Dustin P and Bobby V in a room so they can unite to bring the team back. I hate the Red Sox, but they are of no value to Yankee fans being a .500 team. |

Glad to see Baltimore relevant again as the AL East looks to have another exciting end as the O's, NY and the Rays will be battling it out for potentially two playoff spots.

Sox vs Yanks = the only post season rivalry that matters!
The poor Yanks are experiencing that monumental collapse the Sox had last September!! Too sad.

I've been watching Bobby lately. Definitely a man who is extremely frustrated. But I like his candor.He knows he's not doing a good job. Unless a miracle happens, the owners will look at his results this season and cry. I know he will too.
And just one other thing. Henry & co should think on raiding the Yankee business staff. At this time Henry has have teams around the world which are underperforming.....and and at one time they were powerhouses. At this time, it's like they completely lost the tradition of excellence and winning. Something's gone wrong in their organization and management to get to the current state of affairs with their sports teams. You think the Red Sox problem is just with their "team"? Some sure. But there's other fish to fry in the entire organization that owns them. Heads up! |

It comes down to ownership & their policies...owners telling the Manager how to manage gets no resect from players.
Bobby V needed to establish himself from day one and tell the owners this is how he does it..let me manage. But that's not Bobby...wrong fit for the wrong team.

Yikes, the Rays really took a hit this past series against Baltimore and the Bosox didn't help much versus NY. They really need to rally this weekend or it's over for them. If they don't make it then will pull for the swinging A's in the AL. Amazing what Oakland is doing with a small budget.

Hats off to Oakland and Baltimore for making the playoffs. Tampa dug too deep a hole to climb out of, but a tip of the cap to the Rays for again vastly overachieving and clinching their 5th straight winning season; dedicating one arrow shot to the sun for Fernando Rodney for making it fun this season. Still looking forward to the playoffs but sad that summer is over and winter is coming on.
