Be sure to download the clip from Deltipo's post under NME. You are not going to like it one bit, but it poses so many questions.
A one off the the beginning of the end ? Or indeed the end itself ?

've watched it all the way through and I think it's more than the sun has got to Arthur. Like you I am very concerned for the rest of the band.

I've got as far as Your Mind and We - and as you all say, it's not pretty viewing - not sure if it's a good or bad thing that it's all been videoed for everyone to see. Let's hope it serves as a wake up call and things can be put right - if not I'm afraid the good times are over.

Just had another thought - who in their right mind would allow Arthur to go on stage in such a state - surely it would have been better to pull out - although I do understand how difficult that would have been.

I think the best remedy would be if Arthurs management made him watch it.Its obvious that the reigns of control have to be tightned. I think if Arthur watches the whole thing himself it will have far more effect than a bollocking or his own vague memory of the event. I feel sorry for him if Rick James death hit him really hard, but its still no excuse for this debacle/

I guess no one felt they could tell Arthur not to play...we all know what he's like.
As for it being recorded, it is the festival who recorded it, they record and show all the acts who appeared (which, normally, would have been great but, in this particular case, is obviously not so)

We'll be relying on Aake to let us know how things are from next weeks' concerts - plus all the LA gang - Susan B etc.

Hi guys, just back from Edinburgh (which was great, will tell more on the chat room) and am catching up on the week's events.

Hmmmm ... I must admit there was a tendency towards this sort of stuff at Liverpool, nothing like as bad as this - I didn't want to ring too many alarm bells then so as not to appear libellous ... but here it is captured on video for all to see. The words commercial suicide spring to mind. Possibly even actual suicide if he keeps up whatever it is that's having this effect.

P.S. Gill, sorry to hear your event in Edinburgh has been pulled - I'm sure it was as a result of the weather, which has been atrocious practically all week, OK for inside events but not so good for outdoor ones.

This is very upsetting. I hade a hard time just getting half way through "And More Again". Larry-you're so right..."I think the best remedy would be if Arthurs management made him watch it."

I hope this is not the beginning of the end. I'm feeling so bad right now.

Thanks for that update TNG - I don't think anyone's writing him off - we're just all very concerned about his wellbeing - OK some of it is for selfish reasons of course, but I genuinely hope all is well with him.

Exactly...no-one is 'writing him off' but anyone who's watched that show can only be concerned for him and, perhaps even more so, for the rest of the band.

Really pleased to hear that TNG - I'd never write Arthur off but I'm sure I'm not the only one concerned for his wellbeing as Gill says above. Was this what you wre mentioning on the chat room the other day??

if there was hint of tired emotionalism in Liverpool maybe "management" should have scheduled more time off after that last tour - Arthur and the band have given SO much and been so AMAZING this last year, brilliant gig after brilliant gig. all that touring and writing and recording and girls and awards and stuff. big up the LOVE lemonades - truly heroic. just as well they're such good singers and everything. I'm convinced its a one-off, and that snots busy caking.
