I may have missed this here, but the Electric Prunes will NOT appear on the California '66 tour!
Seems like this tour has been full of tragedy and bad news. I hope it will be successful for Johnny and Baby Lem, but Jerry Miller will only appear at a handful of shows and Blues McGoos at some others....for many (more than not) the Prunes were the bigger draw!? I hope it is not for health reasons!
Well, I wish all involved the best of luck. We, more than ever, need to go see our remaining music treasures while we still have them with us. There will never be ANY like them again...just by virtue of their place in history.

That's better. The Tour site email said they would only appear at the Connecticut benefit show.
What was the reason? Or should I ask?
I'll say one thing....the tour(s) they keep a changin'!!

i'm glad someone explained it to me! i knew the Prunes were out, then Mike blogged that they rocked at the show! then i was confused and felt stupid and couldn't find any anouncement they were back on board.

The second part of that message is all that was posted in the first place so the only reason they've given, so far, is what is says there, differences between them and the promotors. |

Re: the Blues Magoos..
I found this out recently. For those who will ever visit Woodstock, you can say hello to Michael Esposito there. The former guitarist in the band lives there and owns a bike shop. It's called the "Old Spokes Home". Boy he took another direction considering two in his family went to West Point...

EA Poe was not a very good student at West Point, sadly
in fact he got kicked out cos he wasn't of age !
his fellow recruits DID help him publish his first book of poetry, so you can't say the military are ALL bad |
