Hello Bobby..heres' one! and you'll find that there are Spurs, Newcastle and Man city fans here too. I don't think there are any Man United supporters! If there are well they're hiding!.....
Anyway, watch 'Pool play Burnley at Anfield tomorrow! 'Pool is expected to do VERY well this season maybe grabbing the crown but frankly if you ask me they're a little slow out'o'the gate. We'll see in the next few games what's what. I think the other guys here have played better so far in these early games. Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs, Manu , all expected to be in the fray as usual.
I think you're aware that Stig Bjornebye did yeoman work for 'Pool as well as John Arne Riise. Another Scandanavian was the great Dane Jan Molby. As a matter of fact he's supposed to make an appearance here at our supporters club soon. I'm hoping to meet him and shake his hand and get his autograph. |

Hey Rocker! Mølby although danish is a legend! He seldom moved over the mid circle, he was that arrogantly good! Btw did you know,Ole Gunnar Solskjær,was a Liverpool fan before he got sold to United? Was difficult times for me,my favourite norwegian player going to Man U?? Not just his skills but a great person with a great music taste(he is fan of norwegian cult artist Jokke og valentinerne!) |

What a game from Liverpool!Especially pleases me that the second best players like Lucas and Benny were so outstanding. That said,I sort of get this Deja vu feeling from last season when Liverpool at their best without doubt in my eyes were superiour to Man U and Chelseas top peak, had these fantastic moments but in the next game would draw or lose against teams they should normally beat.. |

One of the thing that facinates me with british football is these managers like Clough and Strachan with all their off beat, often unpolitically correct statesment like this from Strachan complaining about his norwegian player Lundekvam: Strachan was on Sky on Sunday morning. He saw John Terry's goal and said he was impressed that Terry goes up expecting to score. He contrasted this to Claus Lundekvam the Saints central defender who goes up for every dead ball and never ever looks remotely like scoring. He said if there was a dead body lying in the penalty area the ball would hit it on the head several times a season which he said is more than Lundekvam can manage. He said referees should book Lundekvam for timewasting every time he goes up for a corner. When the co-commentator said if Lundekvam was watching Strachan was only joking. Strachan assured him he was deadly serious. Miss these guys,Rafa and Sir Alex as brilliant as they are cant really compare to these legends! |

I agree with you there Bobby! Gordon Strachan is great to listen to. He always has something funny to say and often makes journalists look stupid by giving pointless answers to their often pointless questions! We need more characters like him in the game. I sometimes think football takes itself far too seriously, with players and coaches alike offering us nothing of any interest in interviews. They churn out the usual cliches and very rarely provide us with meaningful opinions. Ah well, rant over....maybe I'm just bitter owing to my teams horrendous start to the season! I'd like to say it wasn't expected but I'd be lying!
This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

As you might expect, it was a real joy to be at Manchester City's 4-2 demolition of Arsenal on Saturday. Bring on United at Old Trafford next Sunday....no matter that following Adebayor's antics, we could well be facing them without any strikers! Good win for Liverpool, Rocker. |

An interesting statistic from this morning's BBC website: there have been 46 matches so far in the Premier League this season......and only 3 have been draws! |

...good posts... ok Bobby i'll say hello to jan when I see him for you!.. Ole Gunner...didn't know he was a Liverpool supporter but I could understand! I think you guys have a lot of 'Pool clubs there in Norway. heh heh if he played for Torquay they'd probably be in the Premiership! Always wondered why Fergie usually never started him. I knew his teams had depth but Ole was pretty good..guess Fergie him as better off the bench.
Strachan...yes, he's seen it all...I like that guy..right a legend man just as Shanks.
nice games this weekend...finally Benayoun starts. I always thought he was a catalyst out there but was surprised for a while when Benitez never started him. Look what he does..now let's see how they play at manu or city or arsenal or chelsea or spurs!....;-)...
that Manchester derby's going to be something...I'm hoping we get it here!
john .And that last stat just shows how the league wants it games played...end to end!..great attacking comes from great defense..the Premiership as you guys no doubt know has that balance. For me, hands down the best league in the world with exciting play and games.

Thanks for that Rocker. It is at times like this that I remember some comforting lines from William Blake:
"Man was made for joy and woe And when this we rightly know Then safely through the world we go."
There is a very famous Birmingham comedian called Jasper Carrott...and of his beloved Birmingham City, he once said (in his typically sef-deprecating way):
"You lose some...........you draw some." |

Hi Rocker - Bellamy equalised for City midway through the second half. It sounded as though both teams had their chances to clinch it.....still, a draw puts us up to fourth. Hard luck to Liverpool for yesterday's result at Chelsea. As with City, 'Pool had some really good chances. |

Right one point is better than none! Unfortunately, Pool didn't manage that. I watched that game. Torres was pretty much held in check. Drogba and Anelka are a handful for sure. For my money Chelsea has a great side attacking side which I think is just more dangerous than Pool's right now. You blink youre eye and it's over!..as we saw! |

Time to get out from the cold(Norway)again and support Liverpool also in these critical times!First of all, congrats to Chelsea for a great game against Liverpool, and actually well deseved win for once!Still!--One thing:Tired of all the Alonso cant be replaced comments from experts,I see their points, one of the best midfielders in the world, sure, but nevertheless statistically Liverpool have scored and produced more goals/chances this season so far compared to last, but a horrible defense have destroyed much. Also waiting in antipication of the debut of Alberto Aquilani which will come this month.Chelsea seems very strong I have to admit, not sure about Man U though.Strange the experts doesnt mention the loss of Ronaldo more than they do,obviously at least as hard to replace as Alonso. (had to edit this post, drunk as a skunk when I wrote it,still not the best formulated piece but hope its a little clearer now :-) ) |
