I first heard this folksinger on his 1962 debut album. After a few spins, I couldn't stop listening. And I still haven't stopped.

RICKIE LEE JONES Walk Away Rene

Okay, I sang on "Walk Away Renee" and was in The Left Banke for all recordings. This version of "Walk Away Renee" is my favorite, for many reasons. It's the only one that is done with real feeling. Congratulations to RLJ

Great Norwegian talent, BF. Quite a hypnotic performer. 19 years old and a long creative musical life ahead!

Leonard Cohen & Dylan are her inspirations..not bad company to follow.

She is something else for sure LK, amazing artist and seems so likeable and down to earth. She is playing The legendary Troubadour in LA today and tomorrow, both concerts sold out.And also appering on Conan O Brien show this week.

Agreed, mk...and I can't stand MOST metal. Disturbed shifting out of heavy metal "gear" to perform a very fine moving and powerful rendering of S&G's Sounds Of Silence is quite...great. That performance on Conan even moved Paul Simon to contact lead singer, David, to compliment and endorse their fine cover.

I didn't know all that, never even heard of Disturbed. I don't care for Metal either, especially when I hear it in my car engine.

Exactly! Good analogy, mk! That is what Heavy Metal "music" sounds like to me - and gives me the same nails-on a-chalk-board anxiety as my fear of my car engine grinding, metal against heavy metal.

The Kinks unique sense of irony and satire in this rare, early video...

Sunny Afternoon, filmed on a grey wintry English afternoon..

Thanks. We love "Conquerer" actually. Her often dark & moody lyrics belie her spritely live performances...first time I've seen her perform where she wasn't barefoot!

What is fascinating about Aurora is that after each of her songs, she need s to breathe and recovered form the emotion she puts into every mini performance...each song self contained.
Her eyes evoke a trance like state and she goes deeper into each song until she is drained at th send....especially one songs as such as "Murder (5 4 3 2 1 )" that you shared form the Holland fest above.

Here is a performance where she flubs "Life On Mars" lyrics, and her natural ease, questioning the audience what the words are to a verse is quite endearing.

at around the 1:12 minute mark...

An artist that will and should keep getting more and more recognition...hope the fame doesn't get to her (eg. Katy Perry, Madonna etc) and she always remains as seemingly untouched by the spotlight as she is today.

She is so much fun to watch dancing and singing on Conan--didn't realize she was quite as tiny...dancing like a sprite weaving the magic of her music.

A very fine performance below..barefoot at the Nobel peace Price Concert 2015

Really like her live performances best ...acoustic charm.
