Isn't The Wanderer a Dion song. That was Runaway. But I love the choreography. I think Del had an unfortuneate ending, right?

Did the Burritos performance come from a "Johnny Cash Show"?And funny thing, when I bought "Gilded Palace" I just put it on and listened, not paying attention to track titles as I went.I'd just assumed "Christine" must have called "Devil in Disguise".Normally not too big on country, but there's something quite intrinsically unique about this one.Just as Johnny Cash!

This item (received today from Wolgang's vault) is unusual. Jefferson Airplane performing Wooden Ships in very late 1970. Marty Balin is heavily bearded and this must have been one of his last appearances with the band. On drums, we see Joey Covington who had replaced Spender Dryden earlier in the year for the Have You Seen The Saucers single.

Next video stop for the Fabs, the surrealisitically enthralling promotional film for "Strawberry Fields" and the less captivating but still measurably remarkable clip for "Penny Lane".I believe in an old interview I saw an MTV circa 1985,Sir Paul told these were both placed in the hands of some Swedish director. The famous foursome would direct themselves in the classic "I Am the Walrus' sequence from the "Magical Mystery Tour film.I alos adore most of the Monkees' vids from their tv show.I just saw them last Saturday on the "Today" show. With Peter Tork at 69 and Messers Dolenz and Jones reaching 66 this year, the Pre-fabs are preparing for yet another expansive tour.Wonderful! The whole "Head" movie is readily available on YouTube

>>J9....great thanks!!! I saw them around that time--Spring 1970...they are pretty tripped out on this Wooden Ships video!
I love it!! I regret missing Spencer Dryden who quit the Airplane (or was fired?...either way he was bummed out from Altamont) in February...I believe I saw Joey Covington, who is fantastic and in this video...right?

>>Capt'....you got the best vids there! But we love 'em all!!

Thanks LK. Yes, I liked Spencer Dryden as well. The band always seemed to have problems in that department....especially Skip Spence, early on.....apparently he would often go AWOL. And then their last (and least worthwhile)album, Long John Silver, featured three different drummers.
