I understand that Michael got the offer to play with Neil Diamond but turned it down.

You know it's interesting to see that his "Home Before Dark" is his first #1 album. He apparently never had one through his long career of performing and songwriting.

"Shiloh" still gives me chills when I hear it. I'm not sure why; most of his songs just don't do that much for me.

Hi Dave, I know what you mean about "Pretty Amazing Grace". I really like the song - its the minor key I guess that makes it a bit love-like. The man has a great voice.

I have to admit i'm pretty clueless about any Neil Diamond stuff but I saw him perform this on the Jonothan Ross show here in the UK and I definitely liked what I heard.

This is the time and this is the time and it is time, time, time, time, time, time, time.....

From what I read, he wants to be in the Rock Hall of Fame. Feels he's paid his dues but they don't vote him in. You know he's sold tremendous amount of records in his career. I'm not sure why.

Although I give Neil Diamond's MOR stuff an extremely wide berth, I like all the songs that have so far been mentioned here (especially "Shiloh"). Another that I like is "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show". "Beautiful Noise" wasn't bad, either.
