It's real cool, though. That poster also put up another version of "7 And 7 Is" with Arthur on rhythm guitar. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEFK3HiM8c4
You know, I'm from Michigan (the state shaped like a mitten) and when practically the entire state had to get new license plates this year, the first thing that popped into my head for a new plate was "7AND7IS". Luckily, it wasn't taken. |

Melvan Whittington - guitar Sherwood Akuna - Bass Berton Averre - guitar Joe Blocker or Bruce Gary (RIP) -Drums That song was always better when AL didn't play guitar Where are the Love historians?
If it's Bruce Gary then that's half-a-Knack onstage. |

Ken Brook's Arthur Lee Love Story says of the Iceworld video:
"The video recorded at Malibu's Trancas Club in 1990 (and/or the Luther Burbank centre)...the video included two songs from the Psychedelic Nostalgia Concert in Los Angeles. The musicians included Bruce Gary and Berton Averre from The Knack and the return of Don Conka."
Just checked the end credits and musicians credited are Berton Averre, Sherwood Akuna, Melvan Whittington, Joe Blocker and Bruce Gary as well as the three venues mentioned.
As well as the songs The Freedom Man listed there's one more. Under the opening credits there's footage, seemingly the only one from that gig, of Arthur and the band playing a slow blues number credited at the end as Say You Will, doesn't seem to have been officially released. It's strange no other footage from this venue is included as the sound quality is better than the other two gigs shown. |

KD: Hey Ed. I haven't checked it out on Youtube, but it's probably from Tranca's in Malibu - the scene of many a great (and at least one TERRIBLE !) Love show over the years. Check out back pages of The Castle for some of my reviews..............

That's so cool to have a license plate saying that! |
