I enjoyed this more last night. Can you imagine a Jose Feliciano style "Don't Worry Baby" interspersed with some scat singing more akin to Louis Armstrong (maybe)?! Once again Reid spoke affectionately of Dennis and Carl Wilson. After talking about Steve Marriott, he suggested that Dennis was even more of a handful ("couldn't get rid of 'im"). Reid looked dapper last night in black suit and bowler hat with red shirt and black tie. After a couple of numbers his hair was already sticking to his neck. Reid was on top form, and poured his all into the set (as did his excellent band). The set included great versions of "Without Expression", "Too Many People in this World", "Rich Kid Blues" (dedicated to Marianne Faithfull), Lennon's "Day In the Life", Elvis's "One Night With You" (sung as "One Night of Sin"), "Brave Awakening", "Seed of Memory" and "The River" .I can now say I've seen one truly great Terry Reid gig. The support band, Piefinger were also very good. Love, John E |

I was there too. Reid was magic. My one and only Reid gig, but after hearing mixed reports about his live show, I was glad I got him on form. His voice is just fabulous. Highlight for me was River, one of my fave Reid songs.
Piefinger were good, but I must admit, they kinda bored me a little after one song. Maybe I was just too excited for Reid coming on! :)
