Some people like dogs, others cats. What about bass or treble? High treble shoots right thru me. I am 100% bass. |

bass can either boost you or ruin your day , depending on your taste of sounds. me? can't stand that rap/hiphop. seems like only THAT kind of "music" is blasted from cars. treble is cool when bells amd chimes enter! i hope they all grow up soon out there in Stupidville.

Speaking of bass and treble, Love really used a whole bunch of instruments: elec guitars, acoustic guitars, drums, violins, flute, harpsichord, horns ...not sure if I got them all.... |

While I like the 'top end', my enjoyment of it is enhanced if it is complimented/grounded by the other end of the sonic spectrum. Check out the great Bill Laswell, the ultimate exponent. His playing is a wonderful rumble that feels like it's coming from deep within the Earth. Thriling stuff. He's also a great engineer/producer/remixer. |

MikeP, righton, Laswell is great. Other fave bassists-- Jack Bruce, John Paul Jones (if I ever happen to hear Zep anymore, I'm listening to him & Bonham), Bootsy Collins, & Mike Watt. BobF, yep that subsonic subwoofin' cranial assault gots to go! |
