Something I shared with signedRW and thought I'd share it with you all...cheers, lk
Quite moving, and this teenaged sister team can SING.
2011 Polar Awards. Play it loud as audio is a bit low, but HQ still... their harmonies are described as only possible by siblings and often compared to the Everly Brothers for their tight and close harmony. What maturity. And their originals are amazing too.
Dancing Barefoot - First Aid Kit (Patti Smith cover) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJkbShz3c9Q And this one for Emmylou Harris at the 2015 Polar Awards. Ha! They grew up! For Emmy & Gram, the love of her life...so touching. Goosebumps. Tears again....sweet Emmylou.
First Aid Kit - Emmylou (Live pΠPolar Music Prize 2015) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3TzP-o4vhs
Can't think of a better duo today, by the way.
Definitely echoes of Simon & Garfunkel...
First Aid Kit - My Silver Lining...from their newest LP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKL4X0PZz7M

Powerful stuff...with every verse sung by a different vocalist

Wow! I liked that a lot, but who is she? A quick Google search (even on Amazon.nl) suggests that this song is all she's ever done!

Scottish, not British.
I am hoping we see a lot more from Van Eeden - she released this in Holland and worldwide last September as a single. This is first our introduction to Laura and I hope we get to hear more of her very soon!
That is Dutchman Eric Van Den Brink on guitar (aka Nick Vernier Band) backing Laura, and he has played his own material, and produced, recorded and backed many artists like Iain Matthews, Emitt Rhodes...
