Posted - 20/05/2011 : 21:05:56 My favorite by NEIL, if there can be a favorite!....maybe because it is a part of the times...i bought it the day it came out in a little upstairs underground record shop... with records displayed on the wall in a kind of frame rack running the length of the wall-four rows high, and the vinyl behind the counter...not enough room to have em out on the floor.
The vinyl is also the first pressing...no "Neil Young" on the cover and mixes that were forever changed in a few months of this release. That first mix is the best but you will never hear it if you can't find the vinyl!!
Judge for yourself if you haven't heard this fine album...unjustly panned by some reviewers!!

This is my album cover, before they added the "Neil Young" across the top...isn't it beautiful?!!

I DO like how when you're listening to an album track you got the lp cover lying there and you can see the record
Of course the best track on that disc (Topanga 1) is the alternate Birds. Off After the Gold Rush (of course)
After the Gold Rush ever see reissue with any bonus trax? |
