Posted - 24/01/2007 : 00:44:17 While I have a deep love of steam trains, but have limited knowledge of modern ones, I think I'm right in saying that naming locomotives after rock musicians is pretty rare. They don't have to be dead, but usually have to be associated with major towns or cities that the railways serve - Joe = Bristol, Beatles = Liverpool, etc. I don't think that any non-Brits have been so honoured, but hey, 'Arthur Lee' is a damn sight better name than some that I've seen on my travels.. |
