at least that post seems to have considered the audience (KS3 ICT level4, so we'd expect most 13 year olds to have grasped that concept).

yeah yeah

we all look at all the threads. so we've seen it. in fact, most of us have already given it our full consideration. Unfotunately in my case it's a no, but i promise i am not the droid (or indeed the middle aged woman) you are seeking.

Keep on shining

Just like to point out two things:-
1. I have never been 'bounced off', I am sure 'admin' could confirm this...I did not post for a while because I had many other things to do, with the UK tour coming up there were a few interesting things to comment on, so I did.
2. Secondly, I posted an honest opinion, I have NEVER unlike a few others here, ever insulted anyone. That's all I have to say on this.

Before this get's out of hand I would like to urge everyone to be kind to each other.
This is a place for discussions concerning Love and I don’t want this forum to be used to any personal vendetta.

Please remember Arthur Lee’s words: “Love one another”

Personally I think Caryne promotes discussion and not discord. I certainly don't agree with everything she says but I do think this board is a much livelier and more interesting place for her presence.

Regarding my earlier post and Caryne's for that matter, neither of us are saying dont go and see the band, hell if you have never seen Love before or only once or twice, anywhere is better than nowhere !On the other hand Caryne has seen Love quite literally scores of times and seems to spend most of her leisure time attending gigs of all kinds up and down the country not just Bristol. So to have a little moan that one of her favorite bands is playing in her least favorite local venue is quite understandable in my book.Hell its hardly sacrilege is it ?
Hang Loose Guys.
PS Did you see Love when they played the Phoenix Moontheloon ?
moontheloon Posted - 03/02/2005 : 02:15:33
Hi John
No it's not that bad! But of course that depends on your personal taste. Its just a Bierkeller like it says on the tin. Very sparse inside so don't expect to be pampered.
The Night Will be cool, Love will be playing in your head for months after.

PS. Don't forget to boogie
Kula John Posted - 03/02/2005 : 00:18:06
just bought my ticket for the bristol gig....it'll be my first ever love gig so obviously i can't wait, it's gonna be amazing. But i'm a bit concerned about the venue as it's getting very negative reprts on here....is it really that bad?!!

In the land of summer sun we have just begun
LarryNYC Posted - 02/02/2005 : 21:46:42
All Caryne did was complain that the Bierkeller is a **** hole, whats wrong with that ? I have never been there myself but being a former agent I am well aware that the place is regarded as the pits by many a band.If some people love the place well fine but they are a definite minority.
caryne Posted - 02/02/2005 : 15:52:03
So why aren't you then?

There's nothing more to add on the Bierkeller thing...anyone who goes there will see for themselves.
bigrubberglove Posted - 02/02/2005 : 14:18:53
Here we go again......for those of you who are relatively new to this board, be aware that Caryne is rather contentious. While the general vibe of this board is super friendly and easy going, Caryne often sprays vinegar at those whose views don't conform to hers. It's not a major thing, but just kind of acts as a downer so I try to stay out of entanglements with her.

We should be pleased to see Love for a forth time in our city, the
guys obviously have a good time .

Maybe no-one else is backing me up because no-one else is from Bristol??? This is just a daft discussion, the place is a dump in every way, there's nothing else to add. Course a great band will be great anywhere, we all know that...I just wish they were playing somewhere decent where I could hear them at their best. No-one is doubting they must enjoy coming to Bristol, but, as you will know, they havn't played this venue before so they, obviously, aren't in a position to comment themselves. Any further discussion with you on this would be repeating myself.
