Wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm a new member and love Love! My uncle grew up in the 60's on the Sunset Strip and was lucky enough to see the original lineup perform on several occasions. He has told me about them but confesses he does not remember much! When I was 16 he gave me his FC album and told me to listen to it from start to finish. He instructed me to not skip anything and I soon learned why. Love introduced me to the great music from the era and my favotites are Love (Bryan Maclean solo stuff especially)& Nick Drake (JoeChrisMorris I'm sure understands as I have seen him on the ND forums). Reading the new book now and love it so far.

I look forward to chatting with all of you. I'm curoius if anyone knows where I can obtain information about playing Bryan Maclean solo stuff (tabs/chords). I have looked online and searched for tab books but can't find anything. Any info would be appreciated.

is "Every day is like Sunday" the Smiths?

Robyn Hitchcock does a GREAT cover of that; I have it on Unhatched Criblings or something

Their songs are so unique with irony, sarcasm, melodrama and a whole lot of other stuff stuck in there. Morrissey...always lookin' for the truth!!
And it's amazing to see the difference between Love and Smiths songs. i know they're coming at things from a different perspective Both Morrissey's and Arthur's personality come through in their music but how they handle rage and react to the crazy things in life is soooo different in their lyrics and music. Morrissey is like "in yer face" but to me Love was just a little less laid back. I guess California could do that... Manchester's rain can wear the hell out of you.
