Mogens and his friends.

Amager Bio is an old cinema, but its seats have been removed and it now can hold about 1000 with room to move about. I would estimate there were 500 this evening and it was really nice to say hello to quite a few of those regular visitors to my site. Nice to see them all and I'm so glad they like what I'm doing on this site.
The concert started a little later then planned and at the beginning very unsteady. First song was Alone Again Or and followed by Andmoreagain. Arthur Lee looked quite out of sorts and I must admit I was a bit worried about how this would end. All my worries were blown away with the next song a superior version of A House Is not A Motel, but then things went wrong at the start of the next song, The Red Telephone. Don't know if Arthur wanted to play another number or what, it just didn't get right at the start. They managed to get it going and they were soon again on the right track.
Arthur Lee was getting in a better mood as he introduced the next number, Seven & Seven Is, as a singalong song. This was followed by a marvelous version of Signed D.C. and now everything was as it should be.
At this time the audience was really having a good time and with Everybody's Gotta Live the temperature rose even higher.

Arthur Lee started to complain about his shirt being too tight and started to unbutton it to the delight of the audience who responded with a lot of shouting about taking it off. At one point this became too much for him so he shouted to one and ended up by saying that he thought he should concentrate on the music instead of shouting at him.
Later on it became too much with this tight shirt, so he walked to the back of the stage and changed to one that was more comfortable, came back and threw the other one out to the audience.

There were no big surprises in the setlist, but I missed hearing some songs - would have loved to have heard Rainbow In The Storm and Message To Pretty.
In spite of the weak start of the concert I must say that it evolved into the big treat I was hoping for - and once more it was evident what an impressively tight band Arthur Lee has with him as they seem to get better and better.
After almost 100 minuttes it was over and the evening ended with autograph signing at the edge of the stage.

Liselotte and Mike

After the show I met up with more fans in the bar and everyone loved the show. After a little while Aake and I were invited backstage for a beer or two and after that we all went back to the hotel to get a clean shirt and then into two taxis out to Bent's favorite bar. A nice place where they serve "Slow Beer" and with a fine "special" atmosphere.
I'll spare you the story about rest of the night.

Hey, an up-to-date photo of the webmaster

Next morning at 8.30 I was in the restaurant for breakfast feeling very "bombed" and the hangover knocking inside my head. Chapple, Mike and Rusty showed up, a bit tired but otherwise looking very rested. Shortly after, Aake showed up grinning all over his face and looking like he had a really good and long sleep. For those of you who know Aake, the reason for this is of course that he doesn't drink that much.
After some bread and a good amount of black coffee I felt much better and it was time to say goodbye to Aake who was going to catch a train back to Sweden.
At 10 o'clock it was time to wish the band and everyone else a good trip to Norway and to say thanks for a wonderful time together and to express the hope to see everyone again soon.
