Is there a site like this for the byrds?

what i need is the date of their roundhouse party. the one where they sent out invitations to fans.

I'm writing about it in my blog but can't remember when it was (1968/9?)

This one which is on a Gram Parsons site I have in my bookmarks?

Roundhouse, London 6 July 1968 (final show with the Byrds):
Hickory wind
Sing me back home
The christian life
Under your spell again
You don't miss your water
Eight miles high
Space odyssey
Tribal gathering

I've been told it was 25 Feb 1967, which makes sense in terms of who was around at the time.

so the blog entry will go ahead

Ah, found it now in my Johnny Rogan Timeless Flight Revisisted 720 page tome now you have got me looking earlier. Some more details if you have not got them:

"The following afternoon (which is 25 February as you say) the Byrds attended a 250-strong fan club gathering at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm. This was a special thank you to the fans who had collected 1,700 signatures urging them to return to England. For the best part of two hours, the group autographed albums and chatted to fans while their records were played as background music. One fan had the foresight to ask Crosby if the Byrds were likely to split up. "Not a chance" he retorted, convincingly. McGuinn, meanwhile, captured part of the event on his new movie camera."

Are you writing about it in your blog because you were there Lizzy?

Damn, someone should make a petition like that, but instead of the Byrds playing in London, try to gather as any people as possible from the original Love lineup(isnt it 3 left now?) and play live all around the world(Norway!!:P)
