Parliament, Funkadelic, Parliafunkadelicment, P-Funk All Stars or just George Clinton, whatever manifestation George Clinton is a genius. Not to mention the numerous amounts of groups & artists who have sprung up from him (Bootsy, The Brides of Funkenstein) And Cal Jam just inspirered me to put on a 1971 Funkadelic gig, early stuff with a great version of Maggot Brain. |

haha awsome to see clinton fans its all great stuff but have to agree that the early stuff is the best Nuggets is mint I used to go to a night in liverpool where they played garage and 50's rock and roll listening to the seeds and the count five really loud on a PA is so cool |

Yeah, George Clinton is marvellous. Good shout with the Nuggets and Traffic albums too. I love Traffic. Wouldn't mind seeing these Blind Faith reunion rumours materialise either.
Now playing: Third - The Soft Machine

Ah, Dr. Funkenstein George Clinton! If anyone here has overlooked the mighty Parliament record Funkentelechy vs. the Placebo Syndrome, it's a stone-cold classic. From around 1978. Massively underrated. Also...Funkadelic's Let's Take it To the Stage has been on heavy rotation lately. Brilliant dose of live cosmic slop from the mid-seventies.

McGuinn -- Cardiff Rose, especially "Up to Me." How did I miss this in the 70's? Well actually I know how, but let's not talk about that. |
