John,The Wolf King Of L.A. is indeed a great album. I'll have to go get my copy out from under the bed now. That's where I keep my vinyl collection. (I know, It's shocking, such a good album shouldn't be kept in the dark like that!) Need to get a CD copy. |

The Phillips album that I would most like to see out will probably never see the light of day. It is the album of sessions that he did with the Rolling Stones, with them at their raw and mean best. There was talk of a release a few years back, but I think it got stomped on. And then there's the Stills/Hendrix sessions. Steve really wants them out, but I'm not so sure about the folks in Seattle.. |

I have them on a CD compilation of African psych called "World Psychedelic Classics 3: Love's A Real Thing"
An excellent CD if you like that kind of thing. It's got some brilliant examples of soul, funk,, and psychedelic world music.
Available on Amazon. :) |

Nah. A lot of this stuff is obscure. A bit like Nuggets really. But African! :-)
So I wouldn't be surprised if these bands ever recorded a full album, or if they did, they probably haven't got a CD reissue. It's all from the early 70s era.
But certainly, the Classics 3 album is a good starting point. |
