..."We're All Normal & We Want Our Freedom: A Tribute To Arthur Lee & Love"? On the whole, I'm not too big on tribute albums but sometimes they're cool, and I have discovered a band or two that way. Does anybody have this one, is it worth trying to find? -Jon
I didn't really think much of that tribute album to be honest. A far better Love tribute is the "Sixties Rebellion Vol. 8: Mondo Mutiny". All of the Love covers on that were recorded back in the 60s.
I agree with Bazza. I like the artwork on the Mondo Mutiny CD too with Mr Lee in Room 14 pointing to 7 + 7 is on the board and with a paddle 'The Vindicator' hanging up. It's credited to Rudi Protudi who I presume is the guy with the Fuzztones though his name there is usually spelt Protrudi.
I just discovered the guy behind Music Maniac who released that Mondo Mutiny album has a great streaming radio station at http://www.beyondthebeatgeneration.com/ if you are into 1964-1968 garage, psych and related genres. Massive playlist, the Love ones on the playlist include It's the Marlin Baby.
