Hello, new to the board here. Massive fan of Love/Arthur Lee. I recently posted a blog post about Four Sail entitled LOVE - FOUR SAIL: ARTHUR LEE'S UNDERRATED HARD-PSYCH MASTERPIECE

Yes we love Four Sail here--pretty much a consensus! A friend of mine loves it the best.
If you search the board, you may find some good Four Sail threads here also.

Oh, I have! There's a ton of great posts about Four Sail on here, including the great Jay Donnellan himself posting messages on here about it. This is hands down the best Love site online, it needs to stay up. A wealth of information.

I read a post from some time back that Jay Donnellan wrote about how they recorded "August" about 10-15 times, then picked the one they could all agree on.... I wonder whatever happened to all of the other recordins? I'm drooling at the thought of them being out there somewhere...

The alt mix of Forever Changes (Deluxe box) makes me wonder where all the other earlier Love outtakes are? 7&7 Is with what, 40 takes? And how many other outtakes of both of the first LPs are there?
"Revelation" is said to have been edited down to fit on side 2 -- I'd love to hear the unedited complete session. It is said that it was much longer, and much more cohesive than the cut-and-paste album track. Especially since it is the only recorded document of that Love live staple.
Alt takes of Little Red Book or She Comes In Colors...bring them on!
