Such a nostalgic song - I was just in my teens and I wanted to do all these things. Love it still.

Got this is the summer, so SUMMER it is for me...a brilliant cover and a great sequel into a beautiful original ...Cryan' Shames (1968-one of the best live bands I'd seen, or ever will see!)...and best summer album ever!

You really can't forget The Kinks when it comes to summer, just lazing on a sunny afternoon (what I've been doing today actually - we've been having an unaccusomed heatwave here in the east of Scotland):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLs09J_x6-c:

Or you could pop over the Irish Sea:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBaKWLoFYmQ
Mind you, if you can make out what Shane MacGowan's saying, you're doing very well.

The Pogues any day, all the time.

Fortunately we have our own rousing band this side of the atlantic that resides in Boston...they often visit Maine at the summer festivals! Punk, bagpipes n' all....

And they're looking for trouble.

I bought that album too when it first came out in the UK - Blue Cheer were generally reckoned to be the loudest band in the world. Look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU5uDozoSSM to see Paul Whaley, the world's first heavy metal drummer.

It is said that their Inside/Outside LP began its recording sessions in the studio until they pretty much destroyed the sound equipment with the high volume, then went "outside" to record the rest!
