1969-2014
Matt was such a beautiful singer songwriter. With that magical finger-style that recalls Nick Drake, but with an Americana folk songwriting and singing style all his own. So sublime. So beautiful. So sad to lose Matt at such a young age.

Matt Auten, a Swannanoa man drowns on the South Carolina coast, but rescues his son before going under. Beaufort, South Carolina, authorities say 45-year-old Matt Auten died Tuesday night.
