Thought I'd just mention this book that came out recently. For you 'blues' lovers. It's called 'Crossroads: How the Blues Shaped rock'n'Roll". Real interesting history how blacks and whites, the generations and music all came together to add much to rock'n'roll especially during the 60's when there was kind of a rock-blues explosion, i.e. Canned Heat,Fleetwood Mac plus the music of bluesmen like Robert Johnson, Skip James, Son House, Charley Patton. Got to know Canned Heat's 'Going up the Country' was based on hitting the road to escape floggings..from a song by a Texan singer Henry Thomas in the 20's. He played guitar and cane reeds.
