A friend of mine loves this one more than any other Love LP and he has followed them intensely since 1966!
Any other band would kill to create such a masterpiece of an album! Arthur set the bar so high with FC that this was considered a step DOWN from his high watermark!
Some genius musicianship...ak one needs do is listen to August!
Thanks, mk!

Yeah, it's a great record, just suffers in comparison to the one before it.

Ooh boy - how to follow up that? a new band as well.. yikes!
can't imagine it saw too many reviews just for Arthur being the only one left
Holzman just dismisses it out of hand, and Elektra was certainly not in a hurry to release it to cd! |

A tough one to take, eh? It's the gem that got kind of unnoticed. But we're keepin' it alive on the platter, right? Of course, I know the style didn't mesh but it would've been nice to have others from the FC sessions on Four Sail...hehe 'guest' appearances would've been ok! Just letting my imagination run away from me.
